Overview:  If you like dry fly fishing for feisty trout and a likeable guide, you will enjoy this 1/2 day trip on Oregon's wonderful McKenzie River!
Guide Billy Pruitt, self-described as "the world famous Billy Pruitt"  is one of the most interesting fly fishing guides you will meet.  He has been taking anglers down the McKenzie for over 40 years.  He'll tell you why he is world famous and will take you for a wonderful half day drifting and fishing down the scenic McKenzie River.  Billy will assure that you have a wonderful experience whether you are novice or expert.  The fishing is "top water" with dry flies and there is nothing like seeing a trout come up to the surface for your fly!
The River: The "beaten path" stops well shy of this federally designated Wild and Scenic River. The crystal clear McKenzie River rises in the Cascades' Clear Lake and flows through spectacular McKenzie Pass, past towering Eagle Rock, 80 miles to Eugene/Springfield where it joins the Willamette River.
The Trout: The river hosts rainbow and cutthroat trout up to 18 inches.  You'll see occasional dolly varden  trout (aka bull trout) in the river as well.  The average trout caught is about 12 inches.
