Your FFI Certified Casting Instructor, Cheryl O’Neill is an experienced casting coach and successful, well-traveled fly fishing angler. She is a lifetime FFI member and has taught for the Fly Shop (Redding, CA), FFI Conferences, DVFF fly fishing club, and Project Healing Waters program for disabled veterans. Cheryl also has trained and taught at the largest fly fishing club in Northern California - GGACC. She trained there under the guidance of Willy George, Master Casting Instructor. Each month a free GGACC fly casting program offers instruction to over 100 students. Cheryl designed and implemented the video analysis segment of the program, helping students improve their casting using slow-motion video analysis.
Cheryl is also an experienced fly fisher. She has fished successfully throughout Northern California, other western states including Montana and Alaska, South America, Christmas Island, and the Florida Keys. Cheryl loves catching steelhead and any fish on a dry fly.
Casting Lesson will be for one hour and will be held at the Oakland Casting Ponds on a Saturday or Sunday.
