This one-of-a-kind hand-painted trout shows both the serenity and danger that our favorite sport fish. Returning from a successful hunt on the surface to the safer climes of the bottom the natural beauty of a rainbow never ceases to put a thrill in one's heart and soul. The painting is 18x24 and done in acrylic. Painting comes in beautiful wood frame.
The artist is Leslie Wesphal, one of northern California's very popular local artists, who has been an artist for over 25 years. She first realized she was an artist after I had children. The bright colors inherent in children's books enthralled me. Add to that the ability to invent something new every day and a desire to convey a larger message, all drew me to painting. She truly loves that she gets to do this every day! She has studied under the masters, various art schools, and time in an artist colony to continually hone her skills. She works in gouache, watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Her work has been shown in galleries and art shows in Northern California, online nationally, and in retail shops in Maine and California. Her paintings typically sell in the $2,000 to $6,000 range.
